Natasha Zaretsky, Director and Producer

Natasha Zaretsky is a cultural anthropologist, filmmaker, and author, focusing on human rights, migration, and the politics of memory and truth in the Americas.  She currently teaches at NYU and leads the Truth in the Americas project at the Center for the Study of Genocide and Human Rights at Rutgers University.  A former Fulbright scholar, she has dedicated much of her research to human rights and memory in the Americas. Her other film project is a documentary short, Los Ojos de Victor (co-directed with Gisela Insuaste) about Victor Mora, an Afro-Cuban artist and his work in Havana’s public sphere.  Her latest book, Acts of Repair (Rutgers University Press 2020) explores memory and transitional justice in Argentina.

Ali Muney, Editor and Producer

Ali Muney is a Brooklyn-based editor. Her thought-provoking documentary and fiction work primarily focuses on social change. Recent projects include two seasons of Netflix’s Rotten docu-series and John Cameron Mitchell’s podcast, Anthem: Homonculus. Ali's award winning work has screened at film festivals worldwide such as Cannes, Tribeca, LA Film Fest, AFI Docs, Human Rights Watch, Frameline & Slamdance. Feature documentaries include The New Black, The Supreme Price & Peanut Gallery.

Juan Pablo Chillón, Director of Photography

Juan Pablo Chillón studied cinematography at E.N.E.R.C. and has worked on various features and documentaries, including Despierta, Apuntes de la Frontera, Perón y los Judíos, El Vasco de la Carretilla, El Ángel de la Selva, La Vida es uno Milonga, Mechita, entre el Cielo y la Tierra, Ulises, un Alma Desbordad, La Guayaba, Por Un Puñado de Pelos, and El Otro Silente. He has also worked on television projects, including, Bajada de Línea, Roomriders, MTV TOP 20, MTV Essentials, Comedy Central, Sara Rus, tango queen contar, La Ruth del CACAO, Patagonia Mía, Extreme Food, Pasajeros, and Aquellos Días Felices.

Laura Ponte, Director of Photography

Laura Ponte studied cinematography at the Universidad del Cine (Buenos Aires). She has served as executive producer on Por un Puñado de Pelos and Viento Sur, and produced several features including, El Hombre BuscadoAngelita, la Doctora, and Dulce de Leche.
